Member of the Watford African Caribbean Association, Kim Martindale, is raising funds for Football Gambia – a small UK charity promoting education, healthy lifestyles and community development in West Africa through football.
Throughout the Summer Kim has been raising money through a variety of activities such as car boot sales and plans to travel to Gambia in January 2014 to take part in a number of projects.
- Medical Centre Development – creating a solar paneling system to provide electricity to the building that was set-up earlier this year.
- Sustainable agricultural provision – creating an irrigation system to sustain the growth of the current land.
- Building an Adventure Playground – for the children of Sittanunku.
