New Term, New Venue

We trust you have all had an enjoyable summer break.  My apologies for not getting in touch earlier but we have been negotiating to use space at Watford Grammar School for Boys and I wanted to be able to share more information about this with you. However, the process has been more involved than we had anticipated.

I have now got confirmation for us to have shared use of Watford Grammar School for Boys; however, we cannot start the Watford African Caribbean Supplementary School (“WACSS”) new Term until 8th October. This is because, the school we are sharing with (Al Amanah Supplementary School) will not be starting until next week and we will not be able to finalise arrangements with them until then. Watford Boys have an Open Day on 1st October and the space will not be available for external users such as ourselves. This means that we will not be able to start until Saturday 8th October.

Because of the changes we now plan to have a registration event/open day on 1st October 2016. As Watford Boys will not be open to us we are planning to have this at another venue likely to be Garston Fire Station between 11.00am and 1.00pm. At this time we will be able to complete the registration process and have any of your questions about the new arrangements explained.

We have a range of volunteer opportunities available so if you know of anyone with an educational interest who would like to get involved in supporting the children please let me know.

We are very sorry about the disruption that this causes however as we have previously explained using the West Herts College was no longer sustainable and we will not be using it in the future.

Thanks and I will be in touch again shortly.
