The Watford African Caribbean Association supports, educates and inspires hundreds of people each year through a range of user-led services focused on health, well-being, learning and culture. Services are provided to users on a free basis, where possible, or at a substantial discount.
WACAS provides day care facilities for the elderly, which is known as The African Caribbean Elders Project (“TACEP”), and a Saturday School for children aged between five and sixteen. In addition, we operate a Befriending service together with a support group for individuals with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia. We also deliver events, exhibitions and seminars throughout the calendar year.
