Friends and family from across Hertfordshire gathered at the Holywell Community Centre last week to celebrate the 70th Birthday of Enid – staff member, volunteer and former trustee of the Watford African Caribbean Association. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous Caribbean lunch, West Indian music and exchanged heartfelt tributes about one of the most generous, caring, selfless and active members of the Watford community.
Rather than receive cards, gifts and flowers, Enid requested donations for the benefit of three local charities close to her heart. More than £450 was raised on the day, which will be shared among Macmillan Cancer Support, The Peace Hospice and Alzheimer’s Research.
Thank You
